I am a mid-westerner by birth and education. After I completed my schooling in Illinois, I moved to this area in 1981, and I cut firewood and helped Tom Christensen as an arborist. In 1984, I went to work as a carpenter with local contractors building homes in The Sea Ranch and Gualala. I spent fourteen years with my last employer doing repair and remodel work full-time before starting my own business in 1994.
Most of my professional experience has been in repair and remodel projects and I consider myself to be experienced in dealing with the various construction challenges peculiar to this region. I also do a considerable amount of the section one work associated with the buying and selling of real estate. This experience is invaluable in permitting me to observe how various construction solutions hold up under pressure from insect, wind, sun, and rain.
My family and I have lived here for forty years and I am proud of my reputation within the community for solid performance and reliability.
